The activity of reading electricity meters has been carried out since 2008 by Adrem Invest, in partnership with CEZ Romania.
Bucharest, January 27, 2015 – Adrem Invest, part of the ABBC group, is a 100% Romanian company, which offers integrated services in the field of electricity, natural gas, and renewable energy distribution, such as electricity and natural gas meter reading, electricity metering group management, maintenance services, complex repairs and accidental interventions of electricity distribution networks and transformer substations, energy efficiency solutions for public lighting for municipalities, energy efficiency solutions for industrial consumers, maintenance services for photovoltaic parks, verification of electricity meters, general contracting.
The activity of reading electricity meters has been in the Adrem Invest portfolio since 2008 and is carried out so far with a number of 200 readers with extensive experience in the field, who carry out their activity in the Oltenia area, in the counties of Dolj, Olt, Gorj, Vâlcea, Argeș, Mehedinți, Teleorman. The service is dedicated to a number of over 1.4 million customers belonging to Adrem Invest’s partner, CEZ Distributie.
Since January 2012, the electricity consumption has been estimated monthly by CEZ Romania, and the consumption is regularized by reading the meter by Adrem Invest employees, with a periodicity of approximately 3 months for household customers in urban areas and 6 months for household customers in rural areas, household customers and small economic agents. Moreover, since April 2014, the reading of electricity meters is carried out with even more accuracy. In addition to the classic reading of the consumption index, Adrem Invest employees photograph the read index with the help of the mobile terminal with which they are equipped (PDA).
“Our strategy is based on the development of long-term partnerships, and each action we carry out is oriented towards the direct customer and its beneficiaries, the success of the projects in which we are involved being part of our success. An example is our solutions for streamlining the measurement group reading process, a service that we have constantly improved in over 6 years of collaboration with CEZ Distributie. Our company has invested in the development of a fully automated system – myAvis, which excludes the use of paper in the reading process. The information is entered into the mobile device, processed and transmitted to CEZ partners for invoicing.” said Florin Ciobanu, CEO of Adrem Invest.
The scheduling of dates and time intervals for reading electricity meters is established on criteria of economic efficiency, by work areas, by optimizing readers’ routes. Electricity consumers are informed of the reading interval through the invoice issued by our partner CEZ, and around the visit, notices are placed in visible places, at the entrance to customers’ buildings, in which the period in which the electricity meter reading will be carried out is again mentioned.
In the event that the electricity meter is at the property limit, the customer is not requested to read the index, thus providing increased comfort for him. However, if the electricity meter is located on the premises of the customer’s property and he is not at his destination on the date of the visit, he will receive an opinion form stating the reader’s contact details, the date of the revisit and the time interval. The collaboration between the meter reader and the customer is essential, the latter having the responsibility in this case to contact the Adrem Invest employee within the determined interval of days related to the validity of the reading order, who then travels and performs the reading. If the reading has not been carried out within the given interval, and the client contacts the reader after closing the order, Adrem Invest employees can only comply with his request through an additional reading order, received from CEZ, an order that CEZ issues only at the client’s request.
“The working hours of our employees are normal, but we have the flexibility to adapt to the needs of our customers and we are always in contact with them. For over 20 years, we have been delivering services based on responsibility, rigor and professionalism, and it is very important for us that the success of the projects we carry out for our partners is reflected in the degree of satisfaction of their beneficiaries – the end consumers.” said Florin Ciobanu, General Manager of Adrem Invest.
