Adrem announces the agreement on the acquisition of the majority stake in the Industrial Electroequipment group, a step towards the joining of forces of two entrepreneurial organizations, subject to the approvals of the competent authorities.

August 3, Bucharest,

The Adrem Group and the Electroequipamentos Industrial (EEI) group announce the signing of an agreement whereby Adrem intends to take over the majority stake in the EEI Group, a Romanian entrepreneurial company active in the energy sector. The completion of the transaction is subject to obtaining the necessary approvals from the competent authorities, including the Competition Council and the Commission for the Examination of Foreign Direct Investments.

Until all necessary approvals have been obtained and the transaction is legally completed, the Adrem Group and the EEI Group continue to operate completely independently of each other in accordance with the applicable competition rules.

The signing of the agreement creates the premises of a new chapter for two organizations built around the same values, entrepreneurial spirit, responsibility, professionalism and long-term development. Founded and developed by Romanian entrepreneurs, the EEI group has built over time a solid reputation in the market, based on technical competence, trusting relationships and an experienced team. In view of the next stage of the group’s development, the founders chose Adrem as a partner to ensure the succession, entrepreneurial continuity and long-term growth of the organization.

“After many years dedicated to building this business, we wanted to find a partner who understands not only the value of the company, but also the values that were the basis of its development. We chose Adrem because we share the same vision on how to build a healthy company, which lasts over time, with respect for people, for customers and for the responsibility we have towards the future“, said Iancu Suteanu, EEI General Manager and co-founder.

The founders and the current management team will continue to be involved in the company’s activity even after the completion of the transaction, in order to ensure a natural transition and continuity of relationships with employees, customers and partners.

“We are happy with the trust that the founders of EEI give us through this decision. For us, this proposed transaction is not only about expanding a business, but about continuing an entrepreneurial success story and the opportunity to build together the next stage of development. We believe that strong organizations are built around people and common values, and these were the arguments that will be the basis of this partnership”, said Corneliu Bodea, CEO of Adrem.

In the coming period, the two companies will continue their activity independently, and relations with employees, customers and partners will take place under normal conditions. The priority of both organizations is to meet the conditions for completing the transaction. After obtaining all approvals and its completion, the objective will be to ensure a predictable and responsible transition, which preserves what has made the company valuable and creates the premises for new development opportunities.

The energy sector in Romania is going through a period of accelerated transformation, characterized by important investments in infrastructure, digitalization and new technologies. In this context, the two organizations believe that the development of a solid entrepreneurial group, with strong expertise and long-term vision, represents an advantage for both customers and the entire industry.

The completion of the transaction is subject to obtaining all necessary approvals from the competent authorities.
